Five-day holiday for govt employees during Eid-ul-Adha

Government employees in Bangladesh will enjoy a five-day holiday during the upcoming Eid al-Adha festival.

The holidays will be from June 14th to June 18th, including the weekend of June 15th and 16th.

This means that government employees will have a total of five days off work, starting on Friday, June 14th and ending on Tuesday, June 18th.

Eid al-Adha is a major Muslim holiday, and it is celebrated to commemorate the Prophet Ibrahim's (Abraham's) willingness to sacrifice his son Ishmael (Isaac) as an act of obedience to God.

The festival is typically celebrated for three days, but in Bangladesh, the government has extended the holiday to five days to give employees more time to celebrate with their families and friends.
